and send them copies. Most insurance companies have "certified shops". Find out what THEY think it will cost to fix. The insurance company will generally listen to what they say. If their number is significantly lower, show them the quotes from the other places and ask how they can be so much lower. Chances are, they'll be similar. In fact when my accident happened, the insurance companies shop was the second most expensive estimate! These shops are in cahoots with the insurance company, but are still out to make as much money as they can for them selves, wether you pay them, or the insurance company does.
